Greetings from former Sokokurai, now Arashio stable master

I am pleased to announce that the time has come to hold " Sokokurai’s Retirement Ceremony & Special Grand Sumo Matches".

Although retired and inherited the Arashio stable from my predecessor in March of Reiwa 2, the COVID-19 outbreak presented unprecedented challenges and affected out training styles. Yet, we were able to continue training with the support of everyone.

Holding of the retirement ceremony was significantly affected and difficult to implement; however, it was finally decided to hold it on October 2, Reiwa 4.

" Sokokurai’s Retirement Ceremony & Special Grand Sumo Matches" turns the new chapter of the Arashio stable and declares my determination to everyone. Every day I’m feeling the weight of responsibility for raising the up and coming young wrestlers, as well as the Sekitori wrestlers, like Wakatakakage who won the championship, Wakamotoharu and Kotokuzan.

On the day of the event, we plan welcome you with elaborate Seats and programs, and look forward to seeing you at the Kokugikan.

At Ticket Pia / Ticket Sumo, you can conveniently complete payment at convenience stores.
